Speakers

We are pleased to announce that ASIP has finalized a group of OUTSTANDING speakers to present at this year’s national conference, which is taking place September 18-19 in Las Vegas.

Sheryl Shade is principal of Shade Global, a firm specializing in representation, brand extension, and franchise management for Olympic athletes, film makers, consumer products and public institutions. Sheryl has represented top athletes and coaches in various sports including Gabby Douglas, Paul Hamm, and Shawn Johnson in Gymnastics and Mia Hamm in Women’s Soccer.

Prior to founding Shade Global, Sheryl served as Vice President of Worldwide Advertising at Hawaiian Tropic and VP of Strategic Alliances and National Promotions at Walt Disney Pictures. Sheryl’s presentation will include an overview of sports representation, identifying and evaluating sponsorship opportunities for your company and developing a product or event that is attractive and beneficial to sponsors.

Linda Webber Gorski, former Dean of Students and Spirit Coordinator at Sam Houston State University has presented at hundreds of workshops and seminars across the country specializing in leadership development. Her session at ASIP will allow you to learn how to use the diversity in your team’s personalities to maximize productivity, job satisfaction and teamwork. She will identify four broad personality styles and talk about what each personality type brings to the team.

Linda will then help you determine your natural coaching/leadership style, and show you how you can best interact with, motivate and develop your employees.

Nicole Rehfuss, a Senior Retail Visual Strategist at Little, is involved in multiple aspects of retail design including marketing, trend analysis, strategic branding, conceptual design and development, fixture design, product development, product assortment planning and space allocation, visual merchandising and store implementation. With more than 18 years in the industry, Nicole’s experience spans from big box and department stores to food and specialty retail. She will be speaking on Millenials and Technology.
Today’s millenial shoppers spend more time “pinning” ideas online for their dose of retail therapy in lieu of spending money in stores. Join Nicole for an exploration of how to make stores more appealing to millenials without alienating other demographics in the process.
